A licence from the Airport Authority to operate our unmanned aircraft inside the restricted area of Hong Kong International Airport. Full clearance airside at Hong Kong Air Cargo. High-security airport facilities in Shanghai. Cameras can be rented; permission cannot.
Your shift sets the shooting order.
Site visit first, filming timeslots agreed in writing, and a call sheet your operations lead reads before the crew arrives. The Circle K distribution centre and the store it feeds both kept trading through the shoot.
Scale is drawn, not rescued.
Maersk’s brief was one line: show how big this warehouse is. It was answered on the storyboard — wide frames and one long travelling move — because a space that size cannot be made large in the edit. Where drones are banned, height comes from indoor rigs.
Everything owned, and doubled.
12K RAW uploading to the cloud from set, every critical camera owned in-house with the key components duplicated, and the whole package tested before it leaves Hong Kong. No rental house in the chain on the one day the site is open to you.
Engineers, operators, management.
Interviews are recorded on the site, in the noise — multi-camera, with the plant running behind the speaker. Nobody gives up a day for a studio. Where a face is not wanted, the film runs on a written script and a recorded voice over instead.
One shoot, the whole set of films. Hong Kong Air Cargo received a full-length film, a conference edit and a music-driven cut from a single production.
Cut-downs, aspect ratios and language versions come off the same graded master. The Lödige and China Eastern project was delivered as a full asset suite, shot in BRAW and R3D — stills included.
Concept, script, storyboard, crew, cameras and post are all in-house, and every project runs on a private client platform rather than an email thread.
