CLIENT // PROFILE & PRODUCTION EXECUTION
Setting the Standard for Corporate Video Hong Kong
Back in 2017, Swire Properties commissioned Visual Suspect to produce their flagship Swire Properties Corporate Film. Ten years later, the client chose our video production HK team once again for a major decade upgrade showcasing some of their recent landmarks.
We established a 16-day schedule across three cities — 8 filming days, 3 site-visit days (one per city), and 5 contingency days (one per location) — guided by creative direction, project timelines, and daily call sheets. Combining 12K cinema filming, aerial filming with drones, hyperlapses, crowd time-lapses, and daily online rushes, we set a new benchmark for producing corporate video Hong Kong, especially for developers.
THE LOCATIONS // HONG KONG · 3 FILMING DAYS
01. Taikoo Place & Taikoo Place Garden
Designed by Gustafson Porter + Bowman and selected for the Rosa Barba International Landscape Prize and the LILA Award, Taikoo Place is a premier global business hub woven into native woodlands and carved granite water features.
During three filming days, our video production HK crew captured aerial drone sequences during dawn and magic hour to showcase the illuminated skyline of One and Two Taikoo Place. On the ground, we crafted hyperlapses and crowd time-lapses across the gardens and lobbies, revealing the seamless flow of executives and the pulse of this important business district.
02. HKRI Taikoo Hui & “The Louis” — Shanghai
HKRI Taikoo Hui is anchored by “The Louis” — Louis Vuitton’s monumental ship-shaped flagship and OMA-designed exhibition paying tribute to Shanghai’s maritime heritage, on Shanghai’s West Nanjing Road.
With two filming days, we combined 12K cinematic filming of this iconic street-level vessel and busy retail crowd time-lapses with distant vantage-point shots framing the soaring towers of HKRI Taikoo Hui against the Jing’an skyline. To produce this corporate video in Hong Kong and Shanghai, we captured the ship’s metallic hull by day and its striking illumination at night.
HONG KONG · 1 FILMING DAY
03. Pacific Place & the Two Queensway Bridge
Today, Pacific Place remains the heart of Admiralty’s commercial network, reimagined through Thomas Heatherwick’s celebrated “Contemporisation” of hand-finished Bedonia stone and flowing timber ribbons.
During our one filming day, we highlighted Swire Properties’ newest infrastructure milestone: the Two Queensway Bridge, a 96-metre span seamlessly connecting Pacific Place with Harcourt Garden and the Admiralty MTR four-line interchange hub. Using stabilised 12K tracking shots and crowd time-lapses, our video production HK team documented the continuous pedestrian flow from the MTR bridge straight into Heatherwick’s warm, sunlit atrium.
Swire Properties: A Decade of Placemaking
Ten years after their 2017 corporate film, Swire Properties returned to Visual Suspect for a 16-day, three-city shoot in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
SHANGHAI & GUANGZHOU · 2 FILMING DAYS
04 & 05. Taikoo Li Qiantan and Taikoo Hui
Designed by 5+design in Pudong’s New Bund and winner of the Architecture MasterPrize, Taikoo Li Qiantan pioneers the open-air “Wellness Retail Village”, crowned by a 450-metre rooftop Sky Loop and 80-metre Scenic Bridge. During one filming day, we executed automated, pre-programmed drone flights in the air, repeating the exact same aerial trajectories across different shooting hours from dawn to night. Paired with ground hyperlapses, this precision technique allowed us to seamlessly transition time across the rooftop track and courtyard lanes.
Taikoo Hui Guangzhou is South China’s premier mixed-use landmark, uniting Grade-A towers, a Mandarin Oriental hotel, and a sweeping glass-wave skylight spine, all master-planned by Arquitectonica in Tianhe CBD. During our one filming day, we balanced wide sunlit atrium time-lapses with 12K close-ups of permanent artworks and fine architectural details throughout the development and podium gardens. Capturing these sculptural textures alongside bustling luxury retail crowds ensured the Guangzhou sequence matched the refined aesthetic of the master corporate video HK.
